About
I have always had a love of dogs and owned my first, a springer spaniel called Minder, when I was 13. After graduating from university I worked in the Financial Services industry until I decided the time was right to pursue my dream of combining my work and dogs. After owning another springer spaniel called Lucy and going through the process of trying to find someone I could trust to groom her I decided to establish my own grooming salon, with the aim of providing a high quality service for other furry family members. I am City & Guilds qualified as I believe it is important to have the correct training and be able to demonstrate you have the relevant skills. I currently own a rescue dog called Misty, who is 12 and a springer/german munsterlander cross.
We look forward to seeing you soon!

My grooming career began 21 years ago when I was a YTS girl in the local grooming salon and from there I gained my City & Guilds 7750 18 months later. I then began working in a grooming business within a veterinary practice, where I was teaching, grooming and running the business, whilst gaining experience from the veterinary side.
I achieved my teaching and assessor qualifications along the way and undertook a veterinary course at the local college. I was therefore able to deliver and conduct practical assessments required by City & Guilds for level 2 and 3 in dog grooming. This was required when I worked at a City and Guilds approved centre grooming school.
I love all dogs, but my all time favourite breed of dog is the boxer, as I have always loved and owned them after receiving one for my 5th birthday from my parents. I have shown boxers successfully for several years all over the country and in Crufts
Outside of work I enjoy doing bootcamps and having personal training, trying to keep myself fit and in shape. I also love all the beauty aspects and shopping, you can never have too many bags and shoes!
I enjoy attending grooming shows and seminars, which keeps me up to date learning new techniques and skills. This helps me to improve my quality of work and is also an excuse to buy new equipment.
I currently own a pug called Luna who keeps Misty company in the shop, but likes to sleep all day!

Dogs have been a part of my life since the age of 7 when I was allowed to choose our first family dog a Heinz variety called Tinker. It was my job to keep his beard trimmed and wash him after our muddy long walks.
Little did I know that a lifetime later I would be doing this as a job. Since then dogs have always been a part of the family, I now have a border collie called Smudge who enjoys chasing her ball, going to the beach and holidaying in the Lake District and Wales.
In my spare time I enjoy walking, cycling, gardening and all kinds of craftwork.
I had been working for Boots as a dispenser for over 10years and needed a new challenge. Now I am training to be a dog groomer and could not be happier. I spend all day washing, cuddling dogs and learning new skills with a very talented team.
Dreams do come true eventually.
